Steps to follow:

  1. With the console on, we connect the dongle. after 5 seconds we disconnect and turn off the console
  2. We put the boot.dat file of the SX OS in the root of the MicroSD card and insert it into the console.
  3. We start the console in RCM mode by inserting the jig on the right rail, keeping the “+” button pressed and pressing the power button once.
  4. We connect the dongle to the console.
  5. Our console will start in the SX OS menu, select the option “Boot custom FW”
  6. With the dongle still connected, we open the album, a sx os menu will appear and press “A” to activate the license (It is necessary that the console is connected to the internet)

Note

  • It is necessary that the dongle is charged so that you can inject the payload, for it is enough to connect it 5 seconds to the console on or to a PC through the micro USB port.
  • If we turn off the console it is necessary to re-enter RCM and load the payload, for this it is only necessary to repeat steps 3 and 4.

Add games to switch with sx os

SX OS supports both cartridge games and eShop games. The cartridge games have the format .xci, while those of eShop are the .nsp (In this format you can also find the updates and DlC)

With the .xci files, all you have to do is copy the game in .xci format to the root of the MicroSD card or to the folder “/ sxos / xci” (You must create the folder).

With the .nsp files it is necessary to install them before being able to execute them.

In the case of the .xci, what SX OS does is simulate that a cartridge is inserted in the console, so it is important to remove any real cartridge from our console before continuing. Once the CFW is started, we must open the album to display the sx os menu and select the desired game.

With the .nsp, it is only necessary to start them from the console menu itself.

How to install mods in your switch games

  5. We put the microSD to the console and enter LayeredFS from the Hekate menu.
  6. We can already enjoy our game with Mods

Method 2: SX OS

  1. Having previously installed SX OS
  2. Download a mod for our game
  3. Go to the “sxos \ titles” folder located in the root of our microSD:
  4. The downloaded mod must contain a folder with the ID of the game that we want to modify (Example: 01007EF00011E00), we must put it inside the folder that we opened the previous step.
  5. We put the microSD to the console and enter SX OS.
  6. We can already enjoy our game with Mods
